Setting the table to create hygge

Sometimes creating hygge at home is as easy as setting the table nicely for an impromptu dinner with friends. Chilling out together, eating something simple- but well put together, in good company – adds to the sense of wellbeing and is completely in tune with what we Danes call HYGGE.

I stumbled across the new collection from Danish brand Søstrene Grene. I am particularly fond of the recent AW 2016 collection, and especially their tablescapes. When you create hygge, it is easily done without the expensive bone china and with cute bits and bobs. Have a look at their  AW 2016 collection with a touch of 70’s minimalism which will be in stores on September 8th, 2016.

Søstrene Grene started their business in the early 70’s by selling cheap and useful products for the home. I have a kinda ‘love and hate’relationship with that store (mostly love I might add) simply because I always end up spending far more than anticipated because their collections get better and better 🙂
