Winter has never been my favourite time of year, merely because I am not a great fan of cold, wet and windy, not to mention grey skies and bare trees and naked ground. But – being the positive soul I am, I have learned to embrace the colder months, you know, and manage to create quite a bit of hygge at home with cozy throws – LOADS of candles, fresh flowers and of course Netflix.
We are outdoorsy types in my family, and love being out and about exploring. In the winter we go ice-skating, sledding (if there is snow) or brisk walk, and return with rosy cheeks and a sense of achievement.
I also love the anticipation of Spring, warmer months, blossom, greenery and sunshine on your nose. Now is the time where lots of my favourite brands launch their SS17 collections, so I’ll be sure to share everything I see with you here on the blog.
Today I fell head over heels for the new collection from A SIMPLE MESS – the hyggelige brand from Louise Dorph. Her collection oozes hygge, and the showroom was decked out with stunning flowers, pastel ceramics and beautiful glass vases for your flowers. Louise says that she decided to make her collection because she likes to visit homes with a cozy mess where you can get an impression of the people who live there. “I like the kind of mess that gives a home warmth and personality”.
The collection consists of stunning ceramics in beautiful colours, lovely prints, vases and candleholders. There are mirrors, picture frames, cushions, rugs and SOO much more. My absolute favourite was the dainty small vases KASTANJE – perfect for a single flower or small bouquet from the kids. Those vases were utterly perfect and I can’t wait to get some.
You can find the entire collection online on A simple mess. Have a look – I can almost guarantee you’ll find something to make your home hyggeligt!!

Hej Sanne,
Skrivebordet er vist noget de selv har konstruret (jeg spurgte også da jeg syntes det var så fint), men de sælger ikke deciderede møbler, mere tingene der skal stå på møblerne, og puderne/plaiderne til sofaen 😉
