There are many brands I can remember from my childhood. Many brands that my parents had at home, and items that have become classics and you still see in many homes. Luckily for all of us, quite a few of these brands have managed to stay on top of their games, and constantly bring out fabolous collections.
Last week I was lucky enough to attend an amazing breakfast at the Skagerak showroom in Copenhagen. The showroom itself is in a stunning old building, next door to the harbour and the surrounding areas. When you enter it is like walking into someones (might I add extrememely beautiful) home. The places oozes style – and the showroom has been designed in collaboration with ‘All the way to Paris‘. The breakfast was prepared by the handsome and extremely talented chef Mikkel Karstad.
We were introduced to their new collections and stunning catalogue – all of the images were shot in Gotland in Sweden, amongst the most stunning nature and encompassing many local families in the shots. They have called their new catalogue ‘Skagerak Island Stories’ and you can have a look at their catalogue here. Skagerak believe that it is the people, the atmostphere and the landscape that should sell their products. It is excactly how I work, so I couldn’t agree more, with their aestetics, and storytelling.
I have picked a few of the images for you to enjoy. Have a marvellous start to your week.
