Smoothie bowl

So I am a bit slow then. There – I admit it but I haven’t actually made a smoothie bowl before. Until now. And it is rather yummy I must admit.

For ages I have been making porridge for the girls for breakfast (more on that later) but sometimes they want something new, and seeing that they already love a good smoothie, I figured a smoothie bowl would be right on the money.

So here it is – my INSTAGRAM  friendly SMOOTHIE-BOWL:

INGREDIENTS

  • Organic strawberries – a handful
  • Organic raspberries – a handful
  • Organic blueberries – a handful
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 – 1,5 dl organic milk (or soy, almond, or lactose-free milk)

Pop everything in the blender and blend until it is smooth – without lumps. A smoothie bowl is ‘thicker’ than a conventional smoothie, as it has to be served in a bowl, with various toppings. You have to keep and eye on the consistency when you make it, and add more liquid if need be.

 

TOPPINGS:

Banana slices, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, pomegranate seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, oats, granola, almonds, chia seeds, nuts coconut flakes ……

Basically, anything goes – so pick what you fancy.
